Three funded graduate positions are available in the Gegear Lab for Pollinator Neuroecology and Conservation at the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth. Two positions will involve integrative research on the effects of anthropogenic stressors on the structure and dynamics of wild pollinator communities. The third position will involve field research and outreach activities related to our NSF funded project, " Building Educational Bridges Between Computer Science and Biology Through Transdisciplinary Teamwork and Modular Curriculum Design."
For more information on our research in these areas, please visit the Gegear Lab website (gegearlab.weebly.com). Highly motivated candidates with any previous experience in animal behavior, field ecology, chemical ecology, molecular biology, or related fields are encouraged to apply. Ideal candidates would also have previous experience working with insect pollinators under field and laboratory conditions. Interested applicants should contact Dr. Robert J. Gegear ([email protected]). Please include your CV, unofficial transcripts, and a brief description of your research interests and goals. For questions related to the application process, or the Biology graduate program at UMASS Dartmouth in general, please contact Dr. Whitney Hable (whable(at)umassd.edu).
